Buddy Holly-Oh Boy, on Ed Sullivan in 1958. Sullivan was a bit of an uptight dick, and he didn’t like Buddy or the song choice, so he got his engineers to cut the volume on the guitar. You can see Buddy trying to turn the volume up on his Strat and wondering WTF is going on. Still, there’s not a lot of footage of Buddy, so this is great to see.
